Every story asks the same question: Where is hope?
For more than thirty years, award-winning filmmaker, broadcaster, and speaker Kevin Dunn has travelled across Canada, the United States, Europe, and beyond searching for the answer.
Through hundreds of interviews and countless hours behind the camera, Kevin has met remarkable people whose lives have been shaped by suffering, sacrifice, forgiveness, courage, and faith. Their stories have revealed a profound truth:
Hope isn't simply found. It is given.
Again and again, Kevin has witnessed ordinary people become extraordinary—not because they possessed extraordinary talents, but because they chose to love, to accompany, to forgive, and to remain present in the lives of others. They became what Kevin calls Prophets of Hope.
Today, Kevin brings those stories to audiences through inspiring multimedia presentations that combine award-winning documentary film clips, personal reflections, humour, music, and practical encouragement. Whether speaking in a parish, school, conference, retreat, or community gathering, his goal is simple: to help people recognize the prophets of hope who have shaped their own lives—and to inspire them to become one for someone else.
Drawing from decades of documentary filmmaking, Kevin explores some of life's most profound questions through encounters with people facing illness, disability, depression, grief, addiction, persecution, poverty, Indigenous reconciliation, the defence of human life, and the search for meaning. While every story is different, each points toward the same enduring truth:
Hope is not an idea. Hope is encountered in authentic love, genuine community, and ultimately in the person of Jesus Christ.
Every audience is invited to reflect on two life-changing questions:
Participants leave encouraged, challenged, and inspired—not simply by what they have seen on the screen, but by the realization that each of us has the capacity to transform another person's life through compassion, presence, and faithful love.
Kevin Dunn is an award-winning Canadian filmmaker, broadcaster, speaker, and producer whose documentaries have reached audiences throughout the world. His films have explored some of society's most pressing issues while consistently uncovering stories of courage, reconciliation, human dignity, and hope.
Over the course of his career, Kevin has interviewed hundreds of people—from internationally recognized leaders to ordinary men and women whose quiet acts of love have changed lives in extraordinary ways. Those encounters continue to shape both his filmmaking and his speaking ministry.
Away from the camera, Kevin is a devoted husband, father of six, and proud grandfather. He's also known to pick up his guitar—especially when St. Patrick's Day rolls around—a reminder that joy and faith are meant to be lived, not merely spoken about.
His hope is that every audience leaves asking one simple question:
"Whose life will I become a Prophet of Hope for?"
